A store or an Instagram account? When your brand needs a site

Three signs that messages are no longer enough, and when a site is still too early for you.

Instagram is where people discover you. A store is where they decide and order. The question is not which one to choose, but when you need both.

Three signs messages are no longer enough

  1. You answer the same questions all day: how much is it, do you have a medium, how much is delivery to Ramallah? Every message you cannot answer in time is an order that may go elsewhere.
  2. Orders get lost between chats: a size in a voice note, a colour in a screenshot, an address in another conversation. A wrong size or address means a second delivery at your cost.
  3. You want to advertise, but the ad sends people to your inbox at midnight. A page with the photos, prices and sizes sells while you sleep.

There is a fourth sign you hear from customers directly: “Do you have a website?” A site tells a new customer there is a serious brand behind the account.

When a site is too early

If you have fewer than ten products that change every day, if prices and stock are not settled yet, or if you are still testing the idea, stay on Instagram with a simple WhatsApp catalogue. Come back to the idea of a site once what you sell is stable.

How the two work together

  • You post on Instagram as you do today, with the store link in your bio.
  • The customer opens the product page and picks the size, colour and quantity.
  • The order arrives as a ready WhatsApp message with every detail and the address, and you confirm it with a tap.
  • Cash on delivery stays, the way your customers are used to.

What changes after the site

Fewer repeated questions, orders that arrive complete from the first message, a clear view of what sells, and a place for your ads to land. And you stay in direct touch with your customers on WhatsApp, the way you like.
